The Best Location of a Mushroom Patch

April 22, 2022

A good rule of thumb is somewhere moist and shady. Have a look around and
see where mushrooms are already growing
Establishing colonies on slopes is always a good idea, as the rain will trickle
down and keep them moist. Make sure though that they are shaded by
shrubs.
In fact, mushrooms are great for companion planting in vegetable or flower
beds as they don’t compete with their neighbors and actually improve the
soil, release nutrients and enrich the root zone.
Other areas include the north side of shady buildings, and against walls, as
they help with protection from the environment and are a source of
condensation, which is great for mushroom growth.
