  • Narrow AI: Designed for specific and narrow tasks like playing chess, transcribing speech, driving vehicles. Most existing AI falls under this category.
  • General AI: Has broad human-like intelligence and cognition. It doesn’t exist yet but is an active area of research.
  • Superintelligent AI: Surpasses human intelligence and cognitive abilities. Currently resides only in speculation.
