What is Prompt Engineering?

Prompt engineering refers to the crafting of instructions, contexts and examples to guide AI systems to produce desired behaviors and responses. A prompt acts as an interface between human intents and AI capabilities.

Well-designed prompts shape AI outputs to be coherent, relevant and aligned with intended outcomes. Prompt engineering techniques include positive and negative framing, constraints, fine-tuning etc.
